Constantly seeking to satisfy the most demanding customers, Morello has produced an electric die cart able to lift and transport dies and other types of loads of up to 60 tons.
The main feature of this electric die cart is the extremely reduced height of the loading bed, only 600 mm from the ground. In spite of the great weight this die cart can handle, it can therefore slide under loads positioned on very low supports, and also keep the load’s center of gravity as low as possible and therefore provide greater security.
The platform of the electric die cart can also be raised, staying level, by about 120 mm. In this way it is possible to avoid using cranes or gantries, even for weights of this magnitude.
The tremendous flexibility of this die cart is shown in even greater degree by its amazing maneuverability. Thanks to an ergonomic potenziometric radio control, operating the die cart is extremely easy and requires no effort. The absence of a control helm, common in all standard die carts, adds to the flexibility and ease of use, reducing the steering radius. The steering radius, which is already very small, the wheels able to turn ±90°, allowing the electric die cart to turn around the axis of its fixed wheels.
Both traction and steering are powered by electric AC motors.
Hydraulics are only used for raising the loading bed.
The die cart is powered by a lithium battery of the latest generation, which requires only 2 hours for a full recharge.
On request, this electric die cart can also be supplied as an AGV with full automatic guidance, with diverse guidance technologies (laser, inertial, magnetic, optic, etc.) and with various control systems (customer system, local system, etc.).
